Seth Lazar, The Tinderry Range (May theme: The night sky)
The Tinderry Mountains loom above Michelago; they are rugged and impenetrable. It was cold as anything as I lugged my gear to a spot where the Milky Way would align well, and it was easy to get lost in the dark, among the brambles. But the airglow was vivid as ever, and the night sky dark. Tech details: The sky is a mosaic of six photos stitched in lightroom, tracked at 2 minutes at f2.8, ISO 800. Foreground is two shots at about 5 minutes at f2.2. Shot with Sigma 50mm f1.4 ART on Nikon D750.
