Murray Parkinson, The Rise of Man (CREATIVE 2023)

Watching the bushfires sweep across the nearby military reserve, I contemplated the true nature of man. Man’s sense of moral superiority makes him extremely dangerous, both to his own kind and all other life. For all his talk of love, peace and virtue, his actions and behaviors speak louder than his words. Man loves destruction, violence and warfare. Man’s intellect and reason allows him to justify his actions, rewriting them as moral virtues.
