Carrie Biddle, The Red Night (ENTRIES CLOSED - April theme: Night light)

This shot was taken on a 35mm Kodak M38 Film Camera that was then digitally edited and graded in Photoshop.  The purpose is to capture the imperfection of human memory and how we tend to obscure our memories of the past. For me, I struggle to picture anything, my memories not only being imperfect messes of many experiences but a dark blur of aphantasia. This image is what my memories feel like. They're strong and rich in emotion and experience yet distorted and out of reach to my mind's eye. This shot of the moon was taken by the Brisbane River in Southbank just next to the Captain Cook Bridge.

Images have been resized for web display, which may cause some loss of image quality. Note: Original high-resolution images are used for judging.
