Mary O'Byrne, The Mirrored Lake; take four … (B&W 2023)

I love the ripple patterns made in water by man-made structures. This time I was lucky enough on a recent winter’s day to have the leg pylons of a viewing platform at Lake Joondalup make a series of shapes in the clear cold water; but maybe a little bit samey until one little peaceful Coot sailed placidly into the picture and created an exciting altered reality for me as onlooker.
