Ander Schrauth, The god-like bird (March Theme: Above)

I decided to take a different approach to the category "above", instead of looking from the above i looked at the above. Usually as a bird and nature favoured photographer i stray away from taking pictures of the more "boring" birds and try to find the more interesting ones, however i couldn't disregard this image of the simple seagull. Although hated by most people, viewed as a scavenger and being one of the most common birds on the beaches of Perth and Rottnest, this photo changed all that. The seagull appears god-like with his outspread wings colossal over all those beneath him and the light that shines through him. His symmetrical posture reveals a composed and calm demeanour and composes the image nicely.
