"The Drowning Man". Tell me, what do you see?. You can see the mask, which symbolizes our Covid Pandemic that we are all facing today. Although I need you to look deeper. What do you see?. Is it a man who is drowning from the pressure of trying to be a good father, to keep up with his commitments to provide. Is it a man who is holding on to his memories of his children, who he hasn't had access too in years, yet he has to pay and work overtime to survive?. Is it a man thats just lost everything, he cant take it anymore is this his end?. Is this a fear of his past with his father, is he holding on to that old fear "Did I drown him", "Did my father feel the same way as I do now". "Is that why he left". Could it be that his past has finally caught up to him, having lost his childhood because he had to be the man of the house, he had to "step up!" So he has been in survival mode ever since he was the age of 5, is this his undoing?. You see, all these perspectives may indeed be different. Except they are very similar due to the fact being, they are based on real life scenarios. It is a problem many of our men before us are facing. In utter silence. Many are drowning. Many need help. Many are already gone. So tell me, what do you see? As I have seen "the drowning man" too many times in my life time. Have you seen them too?
