Noah Rex-Ballard, Suspended Corona (ENTRIES CLOSED - August theme: Weather)

Taken shortly after moonrise on a misty night, the rapid rise of evaporation off the lake's surface resulted in the beautiful corona suspended around the moon. With no wind that night, the fog sheet stayed still during the long exposure, leaving the sky clear enough to see faint signs of stars at the top of the composition.
