Julia Marr, Sunrise at Two Styx (Landscape 2019)

I like to escape for a weekend every now and again, this time it was to the magical place of Two Styx. On the outskirts of New England NP in the beauty of May I woke up one morning to photograph the sunrise. I had in my head that the sun would rise and the clouds that were above would reflect on the water, I was so excited to capture this. But as the sun started to rise the clouds disappeared and I was left feeling like this wasn't going to turn out how I hoped... I stayed out in the freezing cold hoping that I could at least get one good image. To my surprise I got something even better! Sun Rays, this heading up being the most incredible morning I have ever seen. I spent 2 hours just photographing all the different spots the sun was poking through the trees, I was in photography heaven and it was even better than the sunrise I had hoped for. It just reminds us that when something in life doesn't work out its because there is something better coming around the corner. I hope you enjoy these as much as I loved taking them.
