graham earnshaw, Stunning Norway (LANDSCAPE 2020)
in September 2019, I visited my daughter who is now living with her fiance in Stevanger, Norway. We spent 10 incredible days in the Senja and Lofoten regions in the north-west of the country. The beauty of this region is almost beyond comprehension, my jaw was almost permanently stuck to the ground. It's really quite difficult to fully capture this landscape in all its grandeur and beauty and give it the justice it so truly deserves. The 4 images I've chosen to hopefully showcase a little of this are (1) the famous view at Hamnøy, Lofoten, of the little red fishing huts under a beautiful sunset (2) the amazing view looking down upon the blue waters of Kvalvika beach, in Lofoten; (3) a grand old house stands alone and dwarfed by a stunning peak in Senja; and (4) a beautiful little rainbow hurdles itself across the mountain range during a day trek up to Mt Husfjellet, in Senja, My daughter is still living in Norway with no sign of coming home anytime soon, so hopefully I can get back to visit this incredibly beautiful country sometime soon :-)
