Taken at Coffin Bay on South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula, this image captures one of those rare mornings when the bay becomes almost completely still. A lone seabird and its reflection provide the only interruption to the soft layers of water, distant shoreline and sky. I kept the composition deliberately minimal, using the negative space and muted light to convey the quiet atmosphere of the scene.
