Simon Ladd, Squint (LIGHT/SHADOW - Entries close 30 September 2026)

Shot handheld and in colour jpeg. Converted to black and white to emphasise the high contrast naturally occurring in shooting into the blinding sun in this scene. Shot with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ110. Built in Leica 25-250 lens zoomed out. 1/4000 sec. f3.5. ISO 125. Edited using Capture One to crop and push reds and yellows in going to black and white. This shot illustrates one of my ideas about summer, as a UV-bleached idea burnt into memory.
