Julie Pallant, Split second timing (December theme: The Moment )
In bird photography it is often only a split second that determines a good shot. In this image I managed to capture the moment that a juvenile Black-shouldered Kite landed on a rather precarious perch high in a dead tree, with both wings at full extension.
