Alex Shore, Shallow Water (July Theme: Nature's Colours)

Here is an emerald wave breaking over a shallow reef in front of the orange sandy cliffs of Jan Juc, Victoria. I'm obsessed with the colours along our coast line, particularly the contrast between water and land seen here, which is perhaps summed up by Goethe's Colour Wheel, which he formulated back in 1809. When discussing his theory of colours he explains that hues that oppose each other 'are those which reciprocally evoke each other in the eye.'
