Joanne Parsons, Seals of Narooma (ANIMAL & NATURE 2023)

Narooma has long been known for its close proximity to the Montague Island seal colony. The seals in these photographs have taken up residence in the Wadonga Inlet on the mainland at the entrance to the Narooma Bar. I photographed the seals in the early mornings and late afternoons. The morning is when they were most active and expressive. By late afternoon they had settled in for long sleeps on rocks heated by the sun.
