Daniel Kemp, Sculpted by the Elements (AUSTRALIA - Entries close 30 Jan 2027)

A weathered piece of timber emerges from the wind-shaped dunes at Gunyah on South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula. Its curved form echoes the contours and ripples of the surrounding sand, creating a simple composition shaped almost entirely by natural forces. I was drawn to the relationship between the timber, low coastal light and constantly shifting dunes — a quiet detail within this exposed Australian landscape.
