Each wheel has tight rolls of paper inscribed with millions of prayers. One revolution of the wheel generates the same spiritual merit as orally reciting every single mantra inside it. The fresh fruit offerings are regarded as blessed and shared with the monastery occupants as part of the wheel of life.
