NIcholas Fantini, Salty Biking (September theme: Bike)

We were staying one night in Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia, and it was a wonderful day of hiking and exploring coming to an end. We were told that the sunsets are spectacular here, and most of the guests were preparing to go see the sunset on a jeep tour. We wanted our experience to be more personal and less touristy, but we did not have our own car to go by ourselves. Suddenly we noticed two old bikes in the corner of the reception, and asked if we could use them. Why not? - said a cheerful receptionist. So we started our biking into the salt desert, following the orange sun which was slowly falling down the horizon. At a certain point, tired and salty, we stopped to watch the last rays of the sun. It was amazing. Only us and magic sun reflections in the salt flats of Uyuni. Everything became possible thanks to the bikes!!
