Seunghee Chang, Salmon (January theme: Unusual Angles)

The photo "Salmon" was taken above the Seogang bridge, which stretches over the Han River, at 2 AM in the morning. The hovering shot captures the sleepless urban landscape of Seoul, which revolves around the inky waves of the Han River. The peculiar bird's eye point of view portrays the streaks as if they were lines created by salmon traveling upstream--as if the nights of Seoul embody their inborn energy, vigor, and fruitfulness.
