Andrew Hunter-Graham, Ropers Storm (October theme: Weather)

This photo was taken from Ropers Lookout at Falls Creek during the summer season. The small storm was visible off in the distance as I began the hike, but as I reached the top it had moved into position right between myself and where the car was parked only a few kilometers or so away! As you can see, where I took the photo from was in the sun and out the other side, past the rain there was still blue sky. Unfortunately, the walk back took me through the lightning and torrential downpour, but what an experience! Being summer and despite the rain that the storm was producing it went on to spark several fires north of Falls Creek...
