Clay Cox, Restore (Landscape 2017)

In a fast paced often stressful modern society I use photography as a way to slow down and reconnect with my natural surroundings and "restore' balance within my life. 1) Golden Hour at Koko Crater - Oahu, Hawaii Easily my favourite image I've captured. Climbing up the railroad steps as I have done many a time before I was treated to a beautiful sunset after what was a week of mostly rainfall. I used a 10stop ND filter with a 4.5min exposure to capture the lights and cloud trails just as the sun gave off its golden glow. I also utilised my head torch to light the foreground. 2) Morans Falls - Gold Coast, Australia After a stressful 2 months of university and work I escaped to Lamington National Park. This image was shot with a 10stop ND filter with a 30s exposure. 3) Golden Fields - Gold Coast, Australia One of the first panorama images with my DJI Mavic. I love the aerial perspective and creating panoramas with 8-12 images really gives a greater perspective of the surroundings. 4) Manoa falls - Oahu, Hawaii Hiking through the rain to this location the crowds were still quite large. i was lucky enough for a break in the crowds to use a wireless trigger and put into perspective the waterfalls size. I love how the 16-35mm creates a leading perspective into the centre of the image.
