Lynn Kuppe, Resilience in the Wind (ENTRIES CLOSED - MINIMALISM)

TECHNICAL METADATA Camera: Google Pixel 9 Pro XL Aperture: ƒ/2.8Shutter Speed: 1/1821 Focal Length: 17.906mm ISO: 46 Captured along the coast of Western Australia, this image explores themes of isolation and resilience through a minimalist lens. Using the 5x optical telephoto lens on my Google Pixel 9 Pro XL, I isolated a weathered, wind-torn Australian flag against an uninterrupted blue afternoon sky. I positioned the flagpole as a sharp, vertical anchor slicing through the frame to emphasize geometric simplicity, contrasting the rigid line of the mast against the organic, tattered movement of the fabric. A fast shutter speed of 1/1821 seconds was utilized to freeze the motion of the wind. Minimal post-processing was completed in Google Photos, focusing on a slight rotation to ensure a perfectly vertical line and removing a minor distraction on the bottom edge to maintain a completely clean, high-contrast canvas.
