Friendships formed in adversity are often stronger. The shared struggles of lockdown during the pandemic in Suva, Fiji, in 2021 brought together a group of expatriates who bonded over online trivia sessions. They were united after a six month lockdown to form connections that may never be broken. Despite all of the barriers, the Real Wives of Suva have shared so much laughter and tears, developed deep emotional connections and formed lifetime friendships that will last well beyond the next pandemic. They are not afraid to be themselves around each other, which these images capture perfectly.
