Nilmini De Silva, Reaching for the Sky (March Theme: Leading Lines)
This image was taken in the afternoon in Barangaroo. My 12mm Laowa lens is enabling me to ‘see’ architectural images and connect better with the ideas of shapes, balance and symmetry. These buildings first caught my attention because of the reflections that gave an added visual dimension to the scene. The blue sky devoid of any clouds made the image clean with no distractions. I called this image ‘Reaching for the Sky’ because it represents many of the elements I associate with life in the city—the constant striving for more.
