Peter Wilson, Portrait/ September issue "Contemplation" (April theme: Seascape)

This gentleman was a guest at a wedding I attended. I took this shot when there was a break between the ceremony and the festivities. He seemed to be enjoying a quite beer and taking in the serenity. I took one photo of him and only one. I was happy with what I got. My gear is a Canon 7D MK II, with a 18-135mm lens. ISO 200 @f5.6 @30th sec. @120mm. Handheld. I changed the original photo from colour to B/W because the man was wearing a VERY brightly coloured waistcoat which seemed to dominate the image, so by going to B/W the emphasis then switched to the eyes. I have increased the contrast slightly in post. I used "the rule of thirds" when framing the original shot.
