The ocean is as important to me as the air in my lungs, it's what drives me, and inspires me every single day. The thing that I cherish most about being able to explore and experience the underworld, is that you are given a fresh roll of the dice every single time you descend. Simply put, you never know what you'll encounter. Like this lone turtle, making his pilgrimage to "destination safe" in the vast and overwhelming ocean. His fascination with the camera was almost as remarkable as my fascination with the moment, as it’s rare to find such a majestic creature offering his undivided attention. As we parted ways, I was reminded of why the ocean is so grand and complex. That two completely different species can share a moment in silence, and part ways with an undeniable sense of respect and understanding.
