Kylie Moss, Overlook (ENTRIES CLOSED - March theme: The Great Outdoors)

A laneway in Brisbane's inner city on a gloomy day, framed by a large-scale mosaic mural on the left and a contemporary brick and glass building on the right. The mural's faces create an unexpected intimacy against the hard industrial geometry of the surrounding architecture and blank, grey sky. I was drawn to the tension between the human and the structural: eyes watching from a wall. Shot on an Olympus E-M10 Mark IV with a 14-42mm lens at 14mm, f/4.5, 1/500s, ISO 200. Minimal post-processing — slight contrast and colour correction in Pixelator Pro to preserve the warmth of the brick against the flat sky
