Larissa Hill-Moore, Our Lady Aurora (LANDSCAPE 2022)

Living in Tasmania, we are blessed to have many rural areas where our skies are the darkest of dark and being as far south as possible, we get an extraordinary view of the Aurora Australis. Capturing my first Aurora in 2017 I was hooked straight away, I wanted to see her again and again. Recently I have been lucky enough to capture her more with her more frequent and, most times unexpected visits. Some shows are short and sweet to which I manage to just catch the tail end of her colours, but I have been at the right place at the right time a few times to also witness her dancing in full force with her many pops of colours and beams dancing in the southern night sky. It is one truly beautiful, special and outstanding phenomenon that mother nature produces.
