Nicholas Ferrante, Opera House Sails 2 (LIGHT/SHADOW - Entries close 30 September 2026)

Shot in the early morning light on a clear day, I set out to capture the Opera House's sails in strong contrast. The Opera House’s beauty from a distance is obvious, but viewing it up close gives me an even greater appreciation of its beauty and design. I used a red filter to blacken the sky which I exaggerated in Lightroom to make the white sales pop against the black sky which acts as a type of canvas.
