Grant Hunt, Old School (SINGLE SHOT 2022)

This image was captured in June 2022, shooting into the early morning sunrise, over Alice Springs Airport. The hot air balloon is silhouetted against direct sunlight as it sails over the detritus left in the wake of Covid. Alice Springs Airport, being located in a dry, hot climate, was the ideal place to store hundreds of multi million dollar aircraft during the epidemic. Many are still there. Funny how one of the oldest forms of air travel prevails when all the modern marvels lie usless.
