This faceless portrait series shows various scenes of a child playing in a competitive soccer match on a Saturday morning. The loving embrace of a proud parent, the red-faced half-time drinks break, the chaos of the preparation before the game and the solitude and sadness after a loss. Yet, the story of the anonymous 'Number 8' is not unique. They could easily be transposed by another child, playing their preferred sport, on any given weekend.
