xavier schulz, Night's Light (MINIMALISM - Entries close 31 July 2026)
Shot during dusk. The lone street light against the dark silhouettes of bushland and a bare dead tree caught my eye, I composed to isolate that single point of warm light in an otherwise fading scene. Camera: Canon EOS R50. Lens: canon 24-105 F4 USM. Focal length: 88 mm. Shutter speed: 1/80s. Aperture: f/4. ISO: 1250. handheld. Edited in Lightroom, I darkened the overall exposure, boosted contrast and saturation, and softened the clarity for a glow feel. Used radial and linear gradients to emphasize the lamp's halo and push the surroundings into darkness.
