Carrie Biddle, Night Drive (ENTRIES CLOSED - April theme: Night light)

This piece is a culmination of two seperate shots that were taken on a 4k Dash Cam that were then digitally combined and graded in Photoshop.  The purpose is to capture the imperfection of human memory and how we tend to obscure our memories of the past. For me, I struggle to picture anything, my memories not only being imperfect messes of many experiences but a dark blur of aphantasia. This image is what my memories feel like. They're strong and rich in emotion and experience yet distorted and out of reach to my mind's eye. These shots were captured from the same drive home through Brisbane city.
