Lillee Boyd, Morning Coffee (SOFT LIGHT - Entries close 31 May 2026)

I created this image by pouring boiling water into the mug positioning backlighting to show the steam as it rose. I positioned the mug against a neutral background to keep the attention on the soft steam rising. Technical details: Camera: Canon EOS 250D Lens: 50mm f/1.8 Focal Length: 50mm Shutter Speed: 1/60 sec Aperture: f/2.8 ISO: 400 I used Adobe Lightroom to adjust exposure, contrast, and white balance for accurate color representation. I also applied slight sharpening to enhance details and cropped the image to improve composition and focus on the subject. However, no major alterations were made, as I wanted the image to remain true to the original scene.
