Jan Breckwoldt, Moonrise in the Snowy Mountains (Single Shot 2018)

Rams Head North in the Snowy Mountains is a spectacular location. The rock formations in look like from another world, especially on the night I was there. I had just witnessed a beautiful moonrise at the horizon and was ready to set up camp when I realised the full moon made the entire landscape look like it was day time. I started to wonder if I can use the moon the same way I sometimes use the sun and create a starburst effect. After a bit of experimenting I finally got the shot and could enjoy a cold and windy night at the highest point I ever slept in Australia.
