Vanessa Haines, Midnight Sun (ENTRIES CLOSED - December theme: Your favourite shot of '25)

This year I was blessed with the opportunity to travel to the North Pole and experience the midnight sun in the northern part of Norway, Lofoten Islands it was a crazy experience being out at 1 or 2am and it still being daylight. I spent little time sleeping as I was just in awe of the surrendering and needed to photograph it. This location I went to twice as the first time I went it was raining and wet and couldn't get the whole feel of the mountains. This was taken at midnight and was truly amazing and couldn't believe what I was seeing, definitely a once in a lifetime experience, which is why this is one of my favourite photographs of the year
