Rita Tohme, Meet Mary (People 2021)

Mary is one of the orphaned residents at the Apostolates at Missionaries of the Poor (MOP) in Kingston, Jamaica. She is learning to move around in her own unique and special way even though she has no limbs. The MOP sisters have helped her to progress with her movement and her speech over the past couple of years. She brings so much joy to all those who meet her. MOP are situated in nine different countries worldwide and provide care for the mentally, intellectually and physically challenged residents who have been abandoned by their families. I had a wonderful time volunteering at their mission.
