Seth Lazar, Me and the Galactic Centre (May theme: The night sky)

I'm pretty obsessed right now with tracking, at the longest focal length I can realistically manage, and just getting insane amounts of detail out of the MW. And I'm always looking for features of the landscape that break the horizon. Luckily the hill that I live on has a great crest, giving me a clean horizon for the MW, and a cairn with a post in it, that gave me something to lean on, allowing this surreal composition. It's a mosaic of ten tracked photos, so incredibly high res (check out the full version here: ). Then there was one non-tracked exposure of the same length to get me on the cairn.
