Broden Szetey, Maniraptoran Majesty (ANIMAL & NATURE 2024)

"Though my fascination with birds is recent, the allure of theropod dinosaurs has been a lifelong curiosity. Meeting Conor, the bright-eyed Barking Owl, felt like encountering the ancient raptors from the pages of youth, igniting my interest in avian life. From there, an encounter with a little resident of South Channel Port, waddling from their nest. Gazing skyward, I found myself captivated by the majestic presence of perched kites and other birds of prey in the canopy. Following the sounds of the forest, particularly the echoing calls of the Golden whistler, my lens would be guided to their flutters and quick jumps, proving to be some of my most challenging yet rewarding subjects."
