Chris J, Little Beach (May theme: The night sky)

I took this while at a camping ground next to Little Beach on a freezing cold night while the stars lit up the sky. Using a D700 with a 17-35mm f 2.8 lens, and using a CTO gel over a torch I lit up the plants surrounding the tent over 30 second exposures. A separate image was taken to expose the stars at ISO 3200, f2.8 at 30 seconds. I then combined the images in Photoshop using layers and the 'lighten' function.

Images have been resized for web display, which may cause some loss of image quality. Note: Original high-resolution images are used for judging.
