Blaire Slade , Light Within (LIGHT/SHADOW - Entries close 30 September 2026)

Captured on a Sony ILCE-7M4 at 50mm, f/2.8. I was drawn to the way the natural foliage shadows fell across the curve of the mother’s belly, creating an almost abstract pattern of light and shape. The simplicity of the composition allowed the interplay of light, shadow and form to become the focus of the image.
