Peter Ogden, Lifecycle (LANDSCAPE 2022)
Many national parks in NSW were devastated by the bushfires of our Black Summer of 2019/20. After two years, there are many areas that are still showing little sign of regrowth. But there are some glimmers of hope…these images were taken as far afield as the Blue Mountains, Barrenjoey Headland and the Hanging Swamp at North Head, near Manly. Blackened gums but covered in new life… Alas the tree that looks all too human as it flails and falls backwards has fallen now, unable to recover from its wounds.
