Mark Kriedemann, Leaning Lines (October theme: Lines)

Through a gap in the Sundale Bridge on the Gold Coast appears the skyline of Surfers Paradise, backed by the colours of an evening storm. The warmth of sunset created a gorgeous pinky-purple colour which undercut the heavy blue of the storm clouds and provided an nice colour contrast. In order to capture some texture in the water, I increased the iso to 1600 to allow for a shutter of 1/40, which also allowed for a stable capture in the blustery winds that rushed beneath the bridge.
