Thomas Materne-Brown, Leaf Bloom (LIGHT/SHADOW - Entries close 30 September 2026)

I took a photo of a leaf, with the sun in the background. For this photo, I tried to get the sun’s light beams glowing either around the leaf or through the leaf. After taking a few trial photos, I found the darker versions didn’t show clarity and were very hard to see the shadows within the photo, so I took a lighter version which showed the detail of the leaf including the texture as well as the sun’s light beams showing through the leaf.
