On January 20th this year, one of the largest solar storms of all time impacted. This triggered stunning naked eye aurorae across the globe, being especially intense in Tasmania’s truly dark skies. Here a rocky outcrop - a scaly backed primordial beast slithering back into the sea - serving as one of the few static datum points for the evening.
