Sim Chong, Ijen Crater (TRAVEL 2023)
This is my first visit to the crater lake of Ijen volcano and I was blown away by the beauty. The lake is the largest acid lake in the world. The colour is due to the acidity of the water. No life exists near this water. The lake is about 1km x 600m and 200m deep. Sulphur is mined from the lake shore and can be seen in one of my images. Another image is a miner selling the mined sulphur.
