Rudy Kalele, If eyes could speak (ANIMAL & NATURE 2022)

The Pied Currawong does not receive much attention in the bird world. Take a closer look, especially those eyes and it immediately captivates, hypnotises the viewer. Its eyes speak more than the curra-wong call its known by. I was fortunate to take some super sharp close up images of this one near the shores of lake Burley Griffin in Canberra with the 500 mm zoom, so that it was not disturbed as it went about having its breakfast. In close up one case that the grey and white feathers are also quite fascinating.
