g earnshaw, Icons of Iceland (LANDSCAPE 2020)

In Sept 2019, I visited my daughter who is now living with her finance in Norway, and we took a side trip to Iceland. We hired a car and spent 10 incredible days traversing the southern region from west to east. After seeing so many amazing images from Iceland over the years, it was truly jaw-dropping to experience this awe-inspiring landscape for myself. As many have said, the landscape is almost other worldly. The images I've selected in this series are some of the icons of Iceland - 1) Haifoss, one of the highest waterfalls in Iceland and one of the most stunning; 2) Kirkjufell, at only 463m high, isn't an overly tall mountain, but its almost perfect bell-curve shape is so captivating and perhaps the most iconic of all images of Iceland 3) Dyrhólaey, near Vik 4) Vestrahorn, on the Stokksnes Peninsula

Images have been resized for web display, which may cause some loss of image quality. Note: Original high-resolution images are used for judging.
