Graham Earnshaw, Icelandic Ice Beauty (LANDSCAPE 2020)
In 2019 I was very fortunate to be able to visit Iceland for 10 days with my 24yr old daughter (who now lives in Norway). It was such an incredible overload to the visual sensors, so many jaw-dropping scenes. We covered a fair bit of ground, from western side where the beautiful Kirkjufell stands supreme, across to the western Stokksnes Peninsula where stunning Vestrahorn holds fort. The camera must have almost blown a gasket with the amount of action it got. Here is a collection of images showcasing some of the stunning beauty that Iceland is so famous for - Ice. Image 1 ("Fallen Ice Warrior)" - one of the many small icebergs that wash up on Jokulsarlon (aka Black Diamond) Beach. This one reminding me of a collapsed dragon Image 2 ("Ice Towers") - part of the Solheimajokull Glacier Image 3 ("Ice cave art") - the stunning colours of an ice cave we peaked into on that same Glacier Image 4 ("Riverlet Beauty") - an aerial of a small river winding its way through the highlands region of southern Iceland
