Sonja Bella, I Am Home (ENTRIES CLOSED - SOFT LIGHT)

This image was taken using a Nikon Z7ii with Nikkor Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S lens @ 15.5mm. Images were stacked using 1/15 sec, 1/60 sec and 1/4 sec to capture the dynamic range and ensure I had a slower exposure for the water and faster exposure for the palm tree. I wanted this particular angle of the palm tree to use as a leading line and the top of the palm tree to sit in the centre of the image. I made some minor tone and color adjustments in ACR before importing to Photoshop. I added further tone and color adjustments to bring focus to the centre of the image and lead the eye in from the bottom of the image to the sunrise. I also did some color grading to enhance the colors of the sky and balance out the image.

Images have been resized for web display, which may cause some loss of image quality. Note: Original high-resolution images are used for judging.
