Fiona Pennisi-Mitchell, Harbour Lines (SOFT LIGHT - Entries close 31 May 2026)

This photograph was taken with an iPhone 16 Pro, and edited using basic sliders within Microsoft Photos on a PC. I aim to demonstrate that artistic vision extends beyond technological access - everyone has the potential for creativity and seeing beauty in the world. Harbour Lines focuses on soft, diffused light and it's ability to unify a scene, allowing colours and reflections to merge seamlessly across the surface of the water. I was interested in how soft light can simplify complexity and turn a detailed environment into something cohesive and meditative. The reflections blur the distinction between solid and fluid, creating a sense of calm continuity throughout the frame.
